Deadline Jan 15 2024 11:59 PM (CST)
Description

The 2024 scholarship application period will open October 15, 2023 and close January 15, 2024.

REMINDER: AQHA Offices will be closed in observance of the holiday on January 15 so please be sure to contact staff with your questions by 5:00 p.m. CST on January 12. If you submit a last minute question, staff will follow up with you beginning January 16.

Complete a single application to determine your eligibility for available scholarship funding. Eligibility of applicants is based on the individual criteria and requirements provided for each scholarship offered. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, financial need and Quarter Horse involvement, as well as an applicant’s outstanding leadership and communication skills. The grading scale for selection of each scholarship will vary dependent upon the criteria established by that scholarship's donor.

Submitted materials must include a completed application form with financial information, three reference letters or appraisal forms, and a high school or college transcript. Students applying for a state or regional scholarship will also need to provide proof of membership in their state affiliate.

Recipients are chosen by a selection group as determined by the American Quarter Horse Foundation’s Board of Trustees. All recipient recommendations made by the selection group are ultimately approved by the Board of Trustees.
